Is it a Waste or an Investment?

I can pour my life out but what I pour my life (myself) into will determine the outcome of either emptiness or fulfillment. To work towards materialism is an easy goal to set, but hard to obtain when seeking out value or fulfillment. I could gain the whole world and find much ease with in that achievement. But what is the whole world to losing my very soul for an eternity.
